How can I help a loved one with hearing loss?
Both the patient's loved ones and the patient need to adapt to the hearing loss. Here are a few tips to support your loved ones with hearing loss
Get the listener's attention before speaking, and look at the listener while speaking.
It is important to move closer to the listener when you are speaking to them.
Speak clearly, in a normal tone of voice. Consider a quiet environment, which is often more comfortable for the person with hearing loss.
